It's urgent for teachers to understand how to use digital devices in the visual arts instruction and provide a more flexible learning environment for learners. This study aimed to provide a feasibility way of using digital devices on visual arts class in elementary schools. Three purposes of the study are: 1. Review the current status of using digital devices on visual arts instruction in elementary schools. 2. Construct and design the curriculum of using digital devices on visual arts instruction in elementary schools. 3. Analyze and provide suggestions for using digital devices on visual arts instruction. The study is based on Action-Research approach and integrated instruction on grade 6. Students are guided to use iPad to learn the "E-meeting Happiness!" course, and evaluate the effectiveness of it. The major results of the study are as the follows: 1. Expand new visual art creative experiences by digital technology. 2. Record learning portfolio for digital arts at any time. 3. Learning Anytime, Anywhere. Visual arts instruction and learning places are flexible without limit. 4. Using digital device with multiple teaching strategies can facilitate the appropriate activities of visual arts instruction. 5. Systematize the instruction of digital virtual culture and convert internet navigation into digital art appreciation. 6. Various mobile applications (APP) in visual arts instruction make the diversity of course design and instruction. 7. Enhance the learning motivation by providing digitalized works of learners. 8. Cooperative learning by using digital devices. 9. Integrated instruction of multidisciplinary subjects by network resource. 10. Stimulate students’ potential and enrich their imagination by multiple network resource. 11. Instant sharing by digital learning resources 12. Rapid information exchange promotes mobile and cooperative learning, which is feasible in visual arts instruction. Based on the results of the study, recommendations for curriculum implementation and future research are provided for curriculum development and following research.
