Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 教育與學習科技學系 === 103 === The purpose of this research is to understand the English electronic textbooks' usage and satisfaction after using by the English teachers in elementary schools in Taoyuan, Hsin-chu, and Miaoli, and to propose suggestions and expectations. In addition, suggestions have been proposed based on the research results to provide for the English teachers, the schools, and the publish companies as reference. This research adopted questionnaire survey, and took as population the English teachers in elementary schools in Taoyuan, Hsin-chu, and Miaoli. In accordance with the region and scale of the schools, stratified random sampling was implemented. Concerning the statistic methods, descriptive statistics, T-test, and one way ANOVA were used for statistical analysis. Also, the open suggestions in the questionnaire were generalized and illustrated in statistical results. The research results are as follows: I. Usung of the English electronic textbooks by the English teachers in elementary schools in Taoyuan, Hsin-chu, and Miaoli. 1. The use of electronic textbooks by the English teachers in elementary schools in Taoyuan, Hsin-chu, and Miaoli does not reach frequent use level. 2. Regarding the functional interfaces in the electronic textbooks used by the English teachers in elementary schools in Taoyuan, Hsin-chu, and Miaoli, the highest use frequency are "Situational Cartoon" and "Pronunciation and Reciting", while the lowest are "Internet Connection" and "Worksheet". 3. The overall usage rate is lower for teachers with 11-15 years of teaching experience, and so is it for the English teachers who have passed English Proficiency Test in 1999. 4. The overall usage rate is lower for teachers in Hsin-chu City. 5. The usage rate is higher for those who adopt Hess Version. II. Satisfaction of the teachers to use the English electronic textbooks in elementary schools in Taoyuan, Hsin-chu, and Miaoli. 1. Regarding overall satisfaction for the teachers to use the English electronic textbooks in elementary schools in Taoyuan, Hsin-chu, and Miaoli, the teachers are the most satisfactory with "the Interface Design of the Electronic Books". 2. The teachers with teaching experience more than 16 years have higher satisfaction at overall usage and aspects like "Interface Design", "To Raise the Students' Language Ability", and "the Convenience for Usage by the Teachers". 3. The substitution teachers have higher satisfaction at overall usage and aspects such as "Interface Design" and "Listening, Speaking, and Reading Language Abilities". 4. The teacher group with CEF higher than B2 Level has higher satisfaction at "Interface Design" and "Raising Aspects of Listening, Speaking, and Reading Language Abilities". 5. Teachers in Miaoli County have higher satisfaction at raising students' "Listening and Speaking Language Abilities". 6. Teachers who use Han-Lin Version have higher satisfaction at overall usage, Reading Language Ability", and "Comprehensive Ability". According to the research findings, the following suggestions are offered for publishers, English Teachers, schools and future research.
