Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 教育與學習科技學系課程與教學碩士在職專班 === 103 === The purpose of this research is to investigate internet addiction of elementary senior students in Hsinchu City. The researcher used the Internet Usage Behavior and Internet Activities to explore the Internet Addiction. The research applies that“Questionnaire Survey” for data collection, and the samples are 763 students from the elementary senior students in Hsinchu City. Questionnaires included Internet Usage Behavior Questionnaire, Internet Activities Scale and Internet Addiction Scale. The researcher acquired the data through questionnaire and analyzed the data with statistic methods such as descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and product-moment correlation. The research results are as follows: 1.(1)Elementary senior students in Hsinchu City often use the net at home, most of the students started to access the net since the third grade. And most of the students use the net once or twice a week. Furthermore, most of the students use the net under one hour per day during weekdays, and one to three hours during weekends. Moreover, most of the students use smart phones to do internet activities. (2)Elementary senior students in Hsinchu City often access the Internet Activities. Most students use the Internet for entertainment and learning. Most male students use the Internet for entertainment. Most female students use the Internet for learning. (3)Elementary senior students in Hsinchu City had an intermediate-low level of Internet Addiction. Time control was the most serious problem for them. 2. There was a significant difference in Internet Activities among elementary senior students with different gender, grade, parents' attitudes, residences. 3. There was a significant difference in Internet Addiction among elementary senior students with different gender, family members, parents' attitudes, residences. 4. Students access the Internet at home, students access the Internet too early, students access the Internet more frequently, students who spent longer time surfing the Net tend to use the net for entertainment and socoal network purposes. Moreover, students who used smart phones to surf the net had the same result. 5. Students access the Internet at home, students access the Internet too early, students access the Internet more frequently, students who spent longer time surfing the Net could lead to higher internet addiction tendency. Moreover, students who used smart phones to surf the net had higher tendency to addict to the Internet. 6. Internet Addiction was a significant middle related to Internet Activities. In other words, the more Internet Activities students had, the higher tendency they would addict to the Internet. Among all, entertainment purpose and social network are the most serious problems. Finally, this research proposes some suggestions by the above results, which are provided to elementary schools, teachers, parents and researchers as a reference
