Currently, the management and the adjustment of groundwater sources are the most important subject matter. This study is focusing on the 1,547 firms located in Chia Yi County in serious stratum subsidence area and groundwater control area in both industrial zone and non-industrial zone and the 17 wells bringing into management in Tuku, Yunlin County to monitor the use of groundwater and investigation of the current status. The purpose of study is to better understand the industrial water usage in the study area and the difference between the declaration and the actual finding of the wells bringing into management. According to research data, from the 1,547 firms, the investigation of the factory take place after the comparison of initial data screening. There are 197 firms (12.7%) uses groundwater within the study area, usages from non-industrial zone firm are 15.1%, and usages from industrial zone firm are 6.7%. The results show that groundwater used by the industrial zone are far less compare to the non-industrial zone. Because of the multi-technology industry and precision instrument within the industrial zone, the underground water qualities are not stable which is likely to affect the manufacturing quality and other factors. From the result of the actual observation of 10,564 wells bringing into management, normal water accounted for 85.4%. According to the normal well specification, 88.4% belongs to the shallow aquifer wells. There are still 62 remaining wells that are deeper than 100 meters. The results of well outlet diameter distribution have little difference compare to the previous survey results. The most usage well’s diameters are between 2.1to5 inches, which accounted for 93.5% of the normal well. The most horsepower usages are between 2.1to5 Hp, which accounted for 82.6% of normal well. Out of the abnormal water well, repeat filers accounted for 7.8%, and pseudo-wells accounted for 3.1%. This statistics shows some people have doubts about the implementation of management and relevant policies. People tend to repeat declaration while some people have situation where they will declare first before they even chisel the well.
