Method: As the principle of convenience sampling, the age of participants were ranged from 16 to 18 years old. All participants were divided into experimental groupand control group. The experimental group was provided with a 12-week physical exercise intervention program (twice a week; 90 minutes per day), and the control group was informed to keep daily activity as usual. The motor skills and physical fitness levels of all the participants were measured before and after the 12-week program using the Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, Second Edition (BOT-2) and the Brockport Physical Fitness Test (BPFT), respecricwly. Two-way (Group x Time) analyses of covariance (ANCOVAs) were used to control the participant's age and gender effect and to analyze the significance of the pre-post differences between groups. The paired t tests were used to calculate the pre- and post-assessment differences in the dependent variables within each group. The probability level was set at α = .05. Results: The main findings showed that (1) the participants in experimental group had better performance in hand’s coordination than the control group after training (F1, 43 = 5.54, p < .05); the score of hand’s coordination within the experimental group after the program were better than that of before the program (F1, 20 = 13.72, p < .01); (2) the post-test total motor composite for all the participants after training were better than that of before the program (F1, 41 = 5.66, p < .05); (3) no significant differences on all fitness variables after the intervention. Conclusion: The beneficial effects of the present intervention were limited, and findings were not likely to be affected by the physical exercise program.
