Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 環境工程與科學系所 === 103 === To understandthe improved situation of water quality of the Wannian Stream of Pintung City, this study aims to investigate the constructed wetland and its water quality, which provides water resource for the Wannian Stream. This recharging water source came from discharged swine wastewater of pig farms and irrigation effluent of the farmland. This flow was planned to treat with Free Water Surface System (FWS)wetland, with the targets set at BOD≦12 mg/L and SS≦15 mg/L.The study started from June, 2013 till January, 2015 with a monthly water quality sampling followed theEPA guidelines. Results show that BODhas reached the target of ≦12 mg/L(averaged effluent from FWS was 7.7 mg/L, and from the ecological pond was 7.9 mg/L). TheSS reached target of ≦15 mg/L after the FWS(the mean was 13.4 mg/L), but the concentration went up to an average of 19 mg/L after the ecologicalpond. Speculated reasons might come from human activitiessuch as fishing in the ecological pond. The removal efficiencies of other water quality after the FWS and ecological pond are: COD-43.6% and 37.5%; TN-37.8% and 46.8%; NH3-N-49.1% and 58.7%; TP-32.9% and 46.5%; and PO4-3-P-31.2% and 45.1%. The water quality of Wannian Stream before and after the improvementareBOD:41.4 mg/L and 6.2 mg/L; SS:52.4 mg/L and 25.0 mg/L; COD:115 mg/L and 21.9 mg/L; NH3-N:18.3 mg/L and 5.3mg/L; TP:3.0 mg/L and 0.7mg/L; DO:0.6 mg/L and 3.3 mg/L.It can be concluded thatwater quality of the Wannian Streamhas been significantly improved.
