The LEDs placed in a plane are connected in series and driven by a half-bridge series-loaded resonant inverter. To reduce switching losses, the power MOSFETs of the inverter are designed to be switched on at zero voltage. The illumination with Gaussian distribution, which can be patterned with different shapes of the reflectors on LEDs, is modeled by the computer software Matlab based on the measured luminance of a single LED. According to the simulated results, the LEDs can be allocated at appropriate positions with optimal distance to obtain the uniform illumination for an LED plane. A driving circuit is designed for a 7-W LED lamp, which is formed by 7 1-W LEDs in series. The measured illumination is extended to 19 LEDs to examine the uniform distribution of the LED lamp over a larger area. Chin-Sien Moo 莫清賢 2015 學位論文 ; thesis 51 zh-TW
