There were three goals in the current study. First, to explore the relationship between police students’ five-factor personality traits and their"Zhuangzi – Equality of Things" personality traits. Second, to explore the relationship between police studentspreferredtransformational leadership style and their five-factor personality traits. Third, to explore the relationship between police students preferred transformational leadership style and their "Zhuangzi – Equality of Things" personality traits. The participants were the police college students registering in 2015 academic year.Of the 750 questionnaires, there were 692 effective (92.2% effective) questionnaires. The preferred leadership style and personality traits questionnaire was desiged and tested via the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and Cronbach’s α, respectively. The statsitcl software was the IBM SPSS for windows version 20.0. The Pearson correlation analysis was applied to test the relationship between transformational leadership(intellectual stimulus, individual care, future construct, and the influncen of encourage and charma) and personality traits. The significant level was set at α = .05. The personality of the current study included the 4 aspects of the five-factor personality traits (extraversion, openness, conscientiousness, and agreeableness) and 5 aspects of “Zhuangzi – Equality of Things” personality traits(negative emotions, arbitrariness, camouflage, arrogance, and capriciousness). It was found that 1) the conscientiousness of five-factorpersonality traits showed the highest correlation with the arbitrariness of "Zhuangzi – Equality of Things" personality traits; 2) the influncen of encourage and charma was highest correlated with the five-factor personality traits; and 3) the future construct was highest correlated with “Zhuangzi – Equality of Things” personality traits. These findings would be beneficial to schools, police officers, and future researchers. Shih-Chiung Lai 賴世烱 2015 學位論文 ; thesis 125 zh-TW
