Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北護理健康大學 === 旅遊健康研究所 === 103 === Travel Medicine Clinics plays an important role in preventive medicine and is different from general outpatient service. It’s not only provides local medicine information, also suppresses the spread of disease.
Based on Means-End Chains (MEC) analysis, this research is proposed to analyze the need of outpatients and to clarify the causes that people reject the outpatient service. With well-designed questionnaire and Laddering, 30 travellers who have had outpatient experience are interviewed along with the other 30 travellers who have no outpatient experience yet. This research shows three elements of Attributes, Consequences and Value selected by the majority of people. They are “Accessibility”, ”Respondency” and “Sense of Safety” respectively. Besides of “Accessibility”, the other two elements reveal that people need more understanding about Travel Medicine Clinics and Preventive Medicine to enhance their intention to accept the service.
This research concludes the value of Travel Medicine Clinics and also proposes the future work to increase Travel Medicine Clinics exposure and be a guideline for hospital to promote Travel Medicine Clinics service.
