With the progressing of technology and popularity of mobile phones, adolescents by using mobile phones can enhance frequency of social relationships and social interaction. Mobile phones provide convenience in communication, but also lead some related problems as mobile telecommunication addiction. Besides, using Tablets PC to access Internet is increasing. People access Internet not only using 3G mobile phones, but also on Tablets PC. However, the related researches mainly focus on mobile telecommunication addiction in mobile phone users. Therefore, this study based on psychological perspectives (social extraversion, anxiety, and self-esteem) of mobile telecommunications of the central region college students to construct a Mobile Telecommunication Addiction Scale. Also, the study will to explore the relationship between mobile telecommunication addiction, physical and mental health. And, it will construct a causal model of social extraversion, anxiety, self-esteem on mobile telecommunication addiction and physical and mental health for college students. A survey was conducted of university of science and technology of college students, in central Taiwan, 500 questionnaires issued, 458 were retrieved, and 396 valid questionnaires were retrieved and effective retrieved rate of 84.46%, except the invalid ones. Statistical methods are including the confirmatory factor analysis, descriptive unvaried analysis, Pearson correlation analysis, and structural equation modeling analysis. The structural equation modeling analyzing the path dimensions relevance. 1.After analyzing these questionnaires, we came up with the following seven conclusions. 2.This study established 4 facility dimensions of mobile telecommunication addiction, that is, time management, interpersonal and health, tolerance, and academic problems, After analysis, 20 variables were obtained. 3.Anxiety has a significantly positive effect on mobile telecommunication addiction. 4.Self-esteem had a significantly negative effect on mobile telecommunication addiction. 5.Mobile telecommunication addiction has a significantly positive effect on mental health. 6.The results will provide references of management of college students in mobile telecommunication addiction for educational institutions, hospitals, and other relevant units.
