Researchers self to the "polynomial equations and basic knowledge", "one dollar equation solution", "application of" three parts altogether ten kinds of questions compiled from the math test paper as a research tool to a country in Tainan cities seventh-graders were written tests for the study, and then one of the more special and make mistakes in the form cited interviews to analyze student error condition, the error type and cause of the error. The study found that students often mistakes are: fractional arithmetic errors, four arithmetic error, the same amount of axioms (or transposition law) use error, the wrong answer choices will be required to answer the title omissions, digital concepts of cognitive errors, problem-solving when combined with an equal sign on the left, the solution of polynomial equations as simplified, using the wrong assumptions, conditions, improper use, or do not understand the meaning of problems directly blank, type of inappropriate or excessive promotion, speculate on the answers; and from researchers these types of errors, after semi-structured interviews reasons summarized in the following error: (A) lack of prior knowledge cause errors (B) careless omission cause errors (C) the lack of ideas or concepts incomplete (D) For the meaning of the questions wrong and narrative cognitive errors or misuse condition (E) for the class of inappropriate or excessive promotion, unfounded speculation answers The researchers obtained the results of this study are summarized after finishing and make some conclusions and recommendations, hoping to provide that future teachers to guide students to learn again, "one dollar equation" unit, students can understand the difficulties of solving problems often occur with the common misconception, to expect can help students to establish the correct mathematical concepts, thus improving the learning achievements of students in mathematics, lay a good foundation for future concepts and more advanced polynomial equation or unit of study, and for teachers to provide appropriate teaching strategies to develop, implement remedial teaching and improve teaching methods of reference and basis.
