A Survey of Junior High School Students’ Marine Environmental Values and Marine Environmental Behavior Intention in Yilan County

碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 教育研究所 === 103 === Abstract This study of correlation between the marine environmental values and behavior intention of the junior high school students in Yilan County. Questionnaire survey was conducted in this study. To ensure that valid sampling procedures were applied, stratified random sampling was used a total of 682 questionnaires were valid, available rate 94％. Statistical data was then analyzed with the descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, single-factor variations data analysis and Pearson product-moment correlation, and the main findings are as follows： First, 80.9% of the junior high school students of Yilan County marine environmental values are positive. Their biospheric environmental values are positive and active . Second, the 'gender', 'parental education', 'parental occupation', 'pro-sea experience' and 'pro-sea frequency' values in the marine environmental values have significant differences; only "Grades' is not significantly different. Third, about 73.7% of the junior high school students of Yilan County showed positive marine environmental behavior intention. Fourth, the 'gender', 'grades', 'parental education', and 'parental occupation' values in the marine environmental behavior intention were not significantly different; while "Pro-sea experience' and 'Pro-sea frequency' have significant differences. Fifth, positive relationship is shown between students' marine environmental values and their marine environmental behavior intention.
