The Study of Place Attachment and Place Identity of Parents in Taipei Metropolitan on Recreational Heritage nearing Taipei MRT Stations

碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 社會與區域發展學系碩士班 === 103 === Abstract Nowadays, with merits of convenient Taipei Metro Subway system recreational heritages nearing MRT stations become one of the most favorable traveling sites for family activities. According to the statistics conducted by Taiwan Tourism Bureau, Taipei metropolitan possesses the most of cultural heritages in our country. Therefore, in this paper we focus on parents living in Taipei metropolitan and study their Place Identities and Place Attachments of recreational heritages nearing Taipei MRT stations based on their personal values and backgrounds. For statistical analysis, we use fieldwork in geography, interviews and questionnaire method to collect 438 effective data. Through descriptive statistics, including t-test, one-way ANOVA, chi-square test of homogeneity proportions and Person product moment correlation coefficient, we have conclusions as follows. For the heritage participation study, most of the parents in Taipei metropolitan bring their kids to the low-carbon heritages. The parents give their statistical supports to the Altruism and Egoism and to the Evaluation in the Place Identity and Place Attachment studies, respectively. In the studies, we also find there is a significantly positive correlation between the participating frequency of visiting heritages and the Place Attachment and Place Identity. Among these highly participating heritages, the museum-type heritage has the highest correlation coefficient. In the end of this paper, sincere suggestions are provided based on the results of our studies to whom have interests in this research field.
