Humans will face the problem of energy depletion eventually. The governments of many countries in the world have already initiated many renewable energy projects. Ministry of Economic Affairs has also developed a renewable energy program in 2012, which aims to build and promote a series of solar photovoltaic generation systems. The main energy source of a solar photovoltaic generation system is the sun. Thus, the location of the system and the surrounding environmental factors directly affect the efficiency of energy conversion. With the limitations on resources and budgets, to monitor the relevance of energy generation and environmental parameter of solar photovoltaic systems, it is necessary to ensure the stability of the systems and monitoring techniques. However, there are no mature products and techniques in Taiwan . Furthermore, the monitoring platform with hard wire connection are easily damaged by the harsh environment, so the long-term stability of the systems cannot be guaranteed. Thus, this thesis proposes a WSN(wireless sensor network)-based monitoring system to measure electrical and environmental parameters in real-time. The system can continuously transmit sensing data to the remote database, and users can browse the operation status and check the power generation quality of the system through the internet service in real-time.
