Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 資訊管理學系碩士班 === 103 === Focusing on anair force base as the targeted case, this study aims at investigating the impacts of organization informationization on the job performance. The perceptionand attitude towardsthe use of troop information systems as perceived by the working staff in the targetedair force basewere explored based on their task characteristics.Drawing on the concept from technology acceptance model (TAM)as the theoretical baseline model, the researcher in this study included critical external variables from extensive literature review and further developed the conceptual frameworkwith thesecritical latent variables affecting perceived ease-of-use, perceived usefulness, and attitude toward using and job performance. Specifically, the survey instrument was designed by several rounds of in-depth interviews withsubject matter experts to ensure the validity of the questionnaire. In the large-scale survey study, 247 valid responses were received and the valid returnrate was 93.2%.The descriptive statisticalanalysis and component-based structural equation model technique (CBSEM) of partial least squares (PLS) wereapplied to analyze the collected empiricl data. The research results were summarized as the followings: 1.Computer self-efficacy, technical support/education training and task-technology fitas perceived bythe working staffin the targetedair force basewould positively affect their perceived ease of use. However, computer self-efficacy and technical support/education training would not influence perceived usefulness. 2.Subjective norm and task-technology fitas perceived by the working staff in the targeted air force base had positive effects on perceived usefulness. However, subjective norm had no positive effects on perceived ease of use. 3.In view of the baseline TAM model, the proposed causal relationships among perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitudes towardssystem usage, and the job performance as perceived by the staffs were firmly supported by the analytical results. The results and findings of this study are expected to contribute to help the staff members served in Taiwanmilitary organizationsand/or information management sections improve their computer self-efficacy, technical support/education training extension as well as strengthentheir subjective norm and IT/IS capabilities. As a consequence, the job performance of the military staff and the effectiveness of organization informationization in army forces in Taiwan can be excellently advanced.
