碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 戲劇學系表演藝術碩士班 === 103 === 　The modern Taiwan is a multi-cultural society. The diversity of modern Taiwanese culture is also the trend of performing arts. It is well liked by the audiences here in Taiwan. The purpose of this research project is to look into the diversity of modern performing arts in Taiwan. The research process is to focus on the growth of Taiwan Hip-Hop culture, as well as the stage performance "Hip-Hopera of Brother and Sister" (2011) by the Contemporary Legend Theater. The idea is to reflect the intertextuality between Taiwan Hip-Hop and performing arts. 　　This project will begin with the background and growth of the Taiwan Hip-Hop. To see how it is being applied to the performing arts and decoding the new face of it. The theater, Contemporary Legend Theater, is a group that focuses on carrying on the heritage and be creative at the same time. They are famous for having new performance linked to the modern trend. This project will also look back into the connection between Taiwanese hip-hop and performing arts by analyzing one of their performances based on the theories of Theater Anthropology. 　　＂Hip-Hopera of Brother and Sister (2011) ＂is a wonderful combination of the Beijing Opera and Taiwan Hip-Hop. The project focus on how the script is being performed through its cast, music, choreography, costume, setting and all the necessary elements. The goal is to see the intertextuality and the future of Taiwan hip-hop and performing arts.
