碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 舞蹈學系 === 103 === The purpose of this paper is to investigate the incorporation and expansion of Chinese Classical dancing in Taiwan. Based on the various different styles of expressions of Chinese Classical dance, there are clear differences in the ways each teacher interprets the meanings of the dance and their use of the body. Also, the publications released during an international research conference held by the Chinese Cultural University's Dance Department caught the attention of the researcher. The researcher's interest in the heavily culturally influenced Chinese Classical dance grew tremendously and therefore would like to organize related texts and understand the cultural influence behind Chinese Classical dance through research, and future categorize and organize Taiwanese Chinese Classical dance by form, style, cultural influence, and the evolution of the dance. The based of this research is the background and knowledge of texts, and through extensive case study interviews with experts, the research allows a better understanding of how Chinese Classical dance has been incorporated into the culture and lives of the Taiwanese and how that has influenced the progression of Taiwanese dance.
