Summary: | 碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 教育研究所 === 103 === This study aimed at investigate the relationship between the current situation in Taichung City elementary school teachers with positive discipline and teaching efficacy, and using quantitative research methods questionnaire by taking Taichung City public elementary school teachers for the study.
Two questionnaires including the “positive discipline questionnaire” and “Teacher efficacy questionnaire” were employed in the study. A total of 380 questionnaires were
distributed, and 350 valid samples were recruited from public elementary schools in Taichung City, Taiwan. The findings of this study were:
1.Taichung City elementary school teachers in the case of positive discipline had good
overall performance.
2.Taichung City elementary school teachers in the case of teaching efficacy had good overall performance.
3.The positive discipline correlated with classroom management efficacy significantly, especially in "the stability of emotion management".
4.The positive discipline could predict the teaching efficacy effectively.
Finally, the researcher proposed practical suggestions for teacher education institutions, education staff, administrators, elementary school teachers and further studies.
