| Summary: | 碩士 === 東吳大學 === 國際經營與貿易學系 === 103 === According to White Paper on SMEs, SMEs plays an important role in promoting of economic growth, increasing national income, and expanding international trade.Therefore, this study is aimed into the relationship among entrepreneurial performance and the distinguishing characteristics of entrepreneurs, personality traits, External Environment, and entrepreneurial strategy. The sample of this study targets at entrepreneurs of information and electronic industry, services, food industry, trade, construction industry and traditional manufacturing industry in the North of Taiwan, and small and medium enterprises in the conventional manufacturing industry. A questionnaire was issued to each company, from selected 300 enterprises. Among which, 167 questionnaires were collected with effectiveness, effective collection rate at 55.7%. SPSS statistical software, descriptive statistics, confidence analysis, factor analysis, variance analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis and other statistical methods are used for empirical study.
The results of this study demonstrates that the personality traits of entrepreneurs with Extraversion and Open-minded nature, Amiability, Diligence and Integrity of the three personality traits are more suitable to run their business, and there are more and more female entrepreneurs year by year. The results of my research include:
1. Entrepreneur’s personality traits have significant impacts on their entrepreneurial performance.
2. Entrepreneur’s entrepreneurial strategy has significant impacts on their entrepreneurial performance.
3. Entrepreneur’s external environment has significant impacts on their entrepreneurial performance.
4. Entrepreneur’s personality traits have significant impacts on their entrepreneurial strategy.
5. Entrepreneur’s external environment has significant impacts on their entrepreneurial strategy.
6. External environment for entrepreneurial strategy has significant interactions with entrepreneurs.
7. The contents and results of this study will vary with entrepreneurial types.
8. The contents and results of this study will vary with different demographic variables.
