Summary:碩士 === 世新大學 === 資訊傳播學研究所(含碩專班) === 103 === The purpose of this study aimed to investigate the impact of applying foreign language films in English course on international cultural and English learning for the sixth grade students in elementary school. 24 sixth graders at an elementary school in New Taipei City participated in this study to receive this instruction which ran 120 minutes per week for four weeks. A methodology of one-group pretest and posttest design was used in this study. The quantitative data were collected through the pretest and posttest of cultural knowledge and English learning attitude scale. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected through international cultural interest questionnaire. The results show that the international cultural and English learning of the students were promoted significantly. The students were highly interested in international cultural instruction with dross-cultural films. They shared their thoughts and suggestion by discussion in class and the open-ended questions of international cultural interest questionnaire.
