In order to slow down the process and prevent it from deteriorating ecological system, many countries around the world have implemented carbon emission regulations to curb the greenhouse gas emissions. Businesses taking strategic approaches to carbon management now will gain imme- diate business benefits in the future. In this paper we develop a carbon-constrained deteriorating inventory model when inventory stimulates demand. Starting with some mild assumptions, we first characterize the profit maximizing inventory re- plenishment strategy under the Carbon Cap-and-Trade policy, and then make some extensions to the model with the Carbon Offset policy.
