More and more people talked about the diet culture enthusiastically. World diet culture slowly turned into a well-liked trend. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the Taiwanese EFL (English as a foreign language) students’ views on dietary vocabulary and culture. Moreover, we will try to understand how Taiwanese EFL (English as a foreign language) students learn and employ the diet culture vocabulary. This study investigates four sections: (1) Does diet culture vocabulary learning become popular in Taiwan? (2) How do diet vocabulary and culture learning influence the participants’ life? (3) What strategies do participants’ use in diet culture vocabulary learning? (4) What kinds of reasons cause participants’ to explore about diet culture vocabulary meaning? In order to have more understanding of Taiwanese EFL (English as a foreign language) students’ views on dietary vocabulary and culture, we used both quantitative and qualitative research methods. Data were collected from the survey of 120 Taiwan EFL (English as a foreign language) students; furthermore, we chose five participants to be interviewed further. The results indicated that (1) we can have more understanding the hidden meaning behind the food culture vocabulary; (2) diet is part of culture, and culture is part of diet in our life. Influenced by living environment, diet culture vocabulary is going popularity in the pop culture; (3) diet culture vocabulary has positive effect in participants’ learning; (4) the motivations of learning diet culture vocabulary are based on students’ curiosity, interesting, and prefer one country’s culture. The results of this study go through the participants’ diet culture vocabulary learning, to examine the influence and future development in our daily life.
