The author observes worshipers who burn incense to offer sacrifices during a traditional ritual service, and collects the related literature as well to conduct the content. It gets the idea that burning utensils is related to the incense. The worshipers utilize incense to offer sacrifice to ancestors has become a routine in daily lives. Incense is an essential gadget to offer the sacrifice; however, the burning incense causes ashes and has become one of the environmental pollutions. The author interviewed worshippers who burn incense to offer sacrifice. The results indicate eighty percent of them use environmental unfriendly utensils, like saran wraps or plastic bags, to wrap sacrifice to prevent from the fallen ashes on the sacrifice. Using the wrapping paper on the sacrifice has become a regular habit, which not only produces waste but also harms the environment and causes pollution. Thus, the researcher believes it is a great urgency to bring up the strategies to solve the issue. The incense chamber is made of metal with multiple dimensions with several features, such as, easy to assemble, can be reused, and easy to storage. The incense chamber is a cultural product which integrates environmental protection and innovation. The researcher anticipates the incense chamber will be expected to awaken the Buddhist worshippers’ environmental awareness in order to change the ancestral worship environment, decrease the burning ashes.
