It means that the spirit is based on human sympathy and showing concern. Although the urban spatial experience of the scavengers and the interaction with businessmen are interesting, they are seldom discussed. We may never pay attention to some small lanes and alleys that form their paths. It is also a minor adventure to discover their dark and narrow home. We have never experienced that urban spatial experience. The scavengers satisfy me unintentionally with discovering their urban and rural areas, and the spatial experience of special groups. It was also worth to study if the existence of scavengers also satisfied the need of certain special groups of the city. Instead of treating the scavengers as a disadvantaged minority or parasites from social impression, this research suggests regarding them as protectors of city façades and contributors of compensating the imperfect daily operation mechanism of the city. These are the focal points of this study. How many people in the city benefit from the existence of scavengers? What groups benefit from or are served by the activity of the scavengers in the city? Salarymen? Catering industry? Clothing industry? Housewives? This thesis focuses on the interaction between businessmen and scavengers. The interview of the businessmen was implemented by questionnaires. Through the design of the questionnaires, the interaction between the two parties would be confirmed. Through the observation of the city activities of scavengers and cleaners, the effect of the recycle system combined by the three parties on maintaining the city façade would be clarified. Besides, the advantages and disadvantages of the specific recycling system in Taiwan combined by them will also be discussed. Through the interviews of the businessmen by questionnaires, actual observation and record of the cleaners, and tracking of the scavengers, it was confirmed that there is a complementary relationship between scavengers and cleaners on space and time. Besides, for the interaction between the scavengers and businessmen, scavengers may not definitely rely on businessmen. In many commercial regions, since the businessmen are too busy, there is too much recycled material, the cleaners are not reachable, or the arrival period does not match the need of the businessmen, the businessmen may eventually rely on the scavengers. Hence, the scavengers may not definitely be the parasites of the city. Instead, they compensate the insufficient service provided by the public cleaners and the businessmen rely on their existence .
