The writer did a series of studies in people’s facial expressions, body language, and the background of the society. With the students around, and relatives and children whom I’m familiar to, I had some observations to make on people, Meanwhile, I combined these observations with spirit and characteristics of the artists to create and draw the conversation between the observers. I hope this can not only draw slight but exquisite changes of observers’ emotions, but also give them imagination. In fact, paintings themselves are veal stories which are happening in our daily life. The structure of this thesis are looked into as following. Chapter One is introduction-to describe motivation and purpose of the study, to explain the works and methods of the study, and then to set a limit to the range of the study. Chapter Two is analysis of the documents-to explore the works of three masters: Liu Xia-dong, Lee Jin, and to analyze the influences of the paintings on the writer. Chapter Three is to discuss the elements of the writer’s works and also to turn the relation among the points of the portrait paintings, character of ink wash in lines into the works. Chapter Four is to describe the viewpoints of the works and to analyze the influences of all aspects on the paintings. Chapter Five is conclusion to conclude the study of the creation entirely and to find out the possible developments in the future. In the future, I hope that our department can create the integrated methods for learning of the ink wash paintings and put the theory of the skills into practice. Then, we can make the works more profound and create unique different personal style. Also, we can create the paintings which can touch people.
