In industry, thermal spray is used to prepare corrosion resistance coating. But this coating has not only corrosion resistance but also acoustic absorption. Zinc-aluminum coating on substrate is basic corrosion, in cathodic protection as the sacrificial oxide material, then spray plastic coating to be sealing layer. Plastic coating has lower acoustic impedance, it is fit for acoustic absorber. Adding expansion of graphite plastic coating has better ability of acoustic absorption, but this coating has bad bonding strength. Find others method to modify this coating. In theory, if impedance difference is large, morphology would have more contribution. Micro-perforated absorption can be easily control. Find to change the pore size and space of micro-perforated absorption control resonance frequency to absorb acoustic.
