However, thermal, optical, normal issues of LED street lighting remain to be solved, especially the life and the reliability, requiring long-term statistics and verification. After manufactured, the specification of LED street lighting has been standardized. The users can only use cost, choice of lighting, speed and flow (traffic density), usage of the roads and other factors as considering on purchasing. This study uses DIALux to simulate distance between the poles, the height of the poles, the gradient of the lighting and inclination factor in one side of the road. This study also applies the Taguchi method to analyze the importance of each factor. The results of the analysis are that the most important factor is distance between the poles; the second one is the height of the poles; the gradient of the lighting is the least influential. This can be served as a reference for future construction of LED street lighting. In addition, in order to investigate the LED street lighting installation conditions, this study conducts a one-year measurement and analyzes the real changes of LED street lighting based on LED street lighting average illumination, lumen depreciation, color temperature, power and other factors. Research results show that average illumination and lumen depreciation will be decreased with the increase of the time, color temperature slightly changed and power consumption remains stable.
