| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺南藝術大學 === 應用藝術研究所 === 103 === Lotus is the most representative of the flowers of the religion. In Qin and Han Dynasties, the lotus element into art creation has been used already. It mainly concentrates on the graphic arts works, but for those pieces all less using significance of lotus to create. Therefore, about this creation of idea was start from lotus images, and through the every different growing phase of lotus to got inspiration. A saying from Buddhist scriptures talking about, it can be able to realize the whole world from a flower. So that, this paper use the concept of appearance and vipassana to talk about the creation. For appearance, this work use by craftsmanship of metalsmith to presents a variety of 3-D lotus form.For vipassana, writer through realized the feelings for growing phase of lotus, and also understanding of the real plant use by observing and touching into the creation. Let the audience have got the chance to experience natural lotus and meaning of lotus once again.
