Summary: | 碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 電機工程系 === 102 === The ultra-high speed inverter with soft switching function is implemented in this paper. This inverter uses the variable voltage variable frequency (VVVF) operation which based on pulse width modulation (PWM) to drive ultra-high speed motor. On account of hard-switching in conventional PWM inverters, the switching losses and the Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) are large, which will cause more power consumption.
In this paper, to overcome these problems, soft-switching technology is used to reduce the disadvantages of hard-switching. In order to lower switching losses and switching stresses, an auxiliary resonant circuit is added to the inverter structure. And the circuit would provide soft switching condition for inverter switches, thereby; it could decrease the system power consumption and increase the stability of ultra-high speed motor.
Before the experiment, the system structure is simulated using Matlab/Simulink software to justify the feasibility. By providing the actual experimental results from low speed 30,000 rpm to ultra-high speed 300,000 rpm, it proves that the proposed inverter is workable.
