The selective laser sintering is a kind of 3D printing technologies. In the selective laser sintering process, the laser is used to sinter the powder material layer by layer. The laser scanning paths in each layer are defined according to the cross section sliced in the STL file. In this thesis, the design and fabrication of a selective laser sintering system is presented. The selective laser sintering system mainly includes construction pot, powder material feeding system, environment chamber, optical scanner system and laser system. The powder material feeding system is adjustable to adjust the pressure when feeding the powder material. SolidWorks and AYSYS Workbench are used to design and evaluate the structure parts. Some problems of the design and fabrication of the selective laser sintering system are also provided in this thesis.
