To find the difference and identify the factors that affect time if it was possible to meet the probe time of ≤120s by GB4715.5-200X from the international standards required. We discharged smoke at the other end of the pipe, and recorded alarm system alerts from the first stage of the reaction time. We studied the influence to very early smoke detection system from different length and number of holes. These results showed that when the pipe was longer, the reaction time from the theoretical formula was shorter than the experiment.
