The enterprises may outsource the non-core products to other manufacturers so as to reduce costs and diversify risks, while remain competitive on the core technologies. Effective use of resources and enhancement of competitiveness are the common management strategy. Hence, how to select good suppliers for outsourcing is the key to the success of an enterprise. Although the component cost of a plastic injection molding factory accounts for a very small proportion of its total cost, the component quality and reliability is not easily determined. Moreover, the component quality affects the quality of the final product. Thus, the effective selection of suppliers is very important in order to reduce the cost without affecting the product quality. This study aims to explore an injection part supplier selection and decision model of a plastic injection molding factory, and construct a systematic decision analysis framework based on the UNISON decision analysis framework. The hierarchical objective structure and selection indexes suitable for the supplier selection are established based on the manufacturer’s decision consideration. The analysis and comparison are conducted using the analytical hierarchy process for weighting, thus establishing a set of decision model for supplier selection. The proposed model is validated on an enterprise to examine the validity. The empirical results indicate that the selection indexes deemed important by the expert group are quality, delivery time and mass production capacity. In the plastic injection part supplier selection, when the ratio of price to total cost is not high, the importance of the quality and delivery time would be higher than the price; thus, the price is not the top priority. The findings can serve as reference to decision-makers to select suppliers according to their demands and management strategies. Jin-Tang Peng 彭金堂 學位論文 ; thesis 82 zh-TW
