Description
Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 工業工程與管理學系 === 103 === To engage in the global electronics manufacturing industry is more difficult than ever. Competitive come from domestic and overseas, especially Japan, Korean and China. Industry of Quartz element is in this exact situation. Quartz elements are important components for wearables and internet-of-things. Since the needs for these new applications grow slowly, the competition for quartz element manufacturers are fierce. To be the winner, raising up the quality and lowering down the cost are essential for the manufacturer. The continuing improvement concepts of six sigma and technics of DMAIC are applied in this paper to engaging a series of improvement actions. The whole process of the manufacturing of the quartz element is closely examined. The causes of defective are identified and the cost corresponded are evaluated first. Then, a workstation to perform a series of improving tasks is picked as the critical workstation. The improving tasks involve identifying items of improvement, measuring system, analyzing information of defective, tuning the parameters of production using design of experiment. And then, the actions of improvement are implemented in the process. The defective rate is lowered and the quality is assured.
