Research on the Vision Health Behavior and Correlate Factorsamong Fifth and Sixth Graders in New Taipei City

碩士 === 元智大學 === 社會暨政策科學學系 === 103 === In view of the seriousness of myopia among the elementary students in Taiwan, it will harm their quality of health and life. According to this, the study is established the pupils in New Taipei City. Through the analysis of the correlation of vision care behavior and the factor that affect it, several suggestions are made in line with these guidelines. To do so, helping to improve the eyesight of elementary students is the goal of this study. The result of the sudty shows whether having myopia or not will make effect on self-efficacy cognition. The gender makes effect on the preventative measures for child myopia. Whether the children study at after-school care centers makes effect of the behavior in the vision care. The support from school and the vision care knowledge exhibit the highest correlation. The mediation effect of self-efficacy cognition takes high effect between not only the vision care of knowledge versus behavior but also the environment versus behavior. The study suggests as follows: (1) The ministry of Education should piay the vision care films by the media at profitable time. (2) The New Taipei City Government had better to afford the free professional examination for eyesight every six months. (3) Education Department of New Taipei City examime the vision care knowledge of the pupils. (4) Every elementary school can use hortative strategy to enhance the vision care achievement. (5)Teachers of elementary schools should increase the vision care for the pupils. (6)Parents are suggested to pay more attention to children’ vision care, set the rules about using 3C products and set a good example by themselves.
