碩士 === 元智大學 === 經營管理碩士班(國際企業學程) === 103 === New product development issues has prevailed since mid-1980, past research focus on offering/providing help businesses more efficient and successful solution in order to enhance NPD development of new products. From the inside of the supply chain and cross-functional integration, Chesbrough mentioned open innovation concept which began to seek external cooperation. Supplier plays an important and indispensable role. The past studies controvert the impact of supplier’s involvement in new product development which has positive or negative effect. Few studies have demonstrated the influence of moderating effect on external integration variables and also moderating variables on moderator. Therefore, we purpose this study is going to explore the never seen moderator or moderating variables on moderator. We release the questionnaire to Taiwan manufacturing company and the sample size is 152. We applied mixed methods research that includes qualitative interviews and hierarchical regression. The results show that the supplier location is antecedents of supplier integration and which moderating by product novelty and core components. Partnership is the moderator of supplier integration to new product development and the technical capability is the moderator of partnership.
