Description
Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 光電工程學系 === 103 === Liquid crystal (LC) lens has the advantages of light weight, thin, short, and small structure. In addition, its focus length can be zoomed by applied voltage. For comparison, it requires at least three lenses and a moving mechanical structure for a zoom lens with glass or plastic lenses. This thesis developed a program for simulating an LC lens and studied the characteristics of a microlens of a microlens array. The study of the microlens saves the computation time owing to its size. From the developed simulation program, we are able to study the effects of the lens thickness and radius on the required voltage and wavefront aberration. The results give the hints for the design of the LC microlens.
