This study is about planning and implementing an innovative teaching programs. The knowledge, attitude and skills about caring Port-A assesscing will be analyzed. The effective- ness after participating the intervention of Knowles Adult Education model’s program for oncological ward's nurses will be further discussed. This study is focus on the oncological ward's nurses in the teaching hospital located in south-central Taiwan. The application was design with an experimental group and a control group. In order to achieve the purpose: First, we discussed the relevant literature with referring the relevant research tools, developed three questionnaires: "a Questionnaire of the awarenessof caring Port-A", "a Questionnaire of the attitude on the quality of caring Port-A", " a checklist of inject the Port-A ", "a Questionnaire of satisfaction about courses of caring Port-A". Then to Investigate the nurses who works in the oncological ward. We obtained 36 valid questionnaires from this survey, the response rate was 100%. After processing the data and statistical analysis, we received some important conclusions as following: First, The innovative teaching involved in the intervention of Knowles Adult Education model can produce an immediate and delayed effectiveness about awareness of caring Port-A. Second, The innovative teaching involved in the intervention of Knowles Adult Education model can produce an immediate and delayed effectiveness about “the attitude on the quality of caring Port-A” Third, The innovative teaching involved in the intervention of Knowles Adult Education mode, shows an immediately effectiveness on " Integrity behavior " after accepting innovative teaching methods and delayed effectiveness got improved in the delayed phase about “the skills to inject Port-A” for nurses. Fourth, The innovative teaching involved in the intervention of Knowles Adult Education mode, the nurses got higher score in the experimental group for “satisfaction about courses of caring Port-A”. That also means people who accepted innovative teaching methods in experimental group are much satisfied with this course. According to these findings, the following recommendations were based on the practices and researches. First, the practical aspects: 1. The study found that caring Port-A multimedia learning CD is an effective teaching tool, it is suggested to arrange continuing education to promote the Professional competence for nurses. 2. This study of innovative teaching Knowles Adult Education's model of caring Port-A, the course is complete and meets what nurses need. Therefore. We suggest to try to promote it in different professional subjects, providing more learning opportunities for nurses and become a new trend in the future.
