Summary:碩士 === 長庚大學 === 商管專業學院 === 104 === This study uses the Chinese Opera Troupe as an example to explore Taiwan Troupe's business strategy from the perspective of its organization structure. A qualitative research method is utilized, interviews were conducted and literature were reviewed. Based on the observation and analysis from this study, it is found that the Chinese Opera Troupe’s organizational culture values and is very respective of hierarchy, which is beneficial to the organization when facing any changes in the surrounding. With movements in the environment comes modifications in the organization’s labor force, which employees are usually content to comply with. The Chinese Opera Troupe frequently participates in special projects, resulting in the structure of arts organizations to naturally become matrix structure where workers need to be responsible for both projectized organization and adhocracy. After the troupe decides on a strategy, it needs to plan accordingly to carry it out, validating Chandler's (1962) structure follows strategy perspective. At the end, this study will suggest some organizational developments and planning to the Chinese Opera Troupe’s managing team.
