However,with the declining birthrate trend wave swept, our primary and secondary schools do not need so many teachers. Passing the exam of teachers selection is a important and difficult thing for everyone who want to be a teacher. This study focus the core elements of the teacher screening and selection. What is important in teacher screening and selection?
This study using the KANO model to Investigate the core elements of the teacher screening and selection.And provide the conclusion of the study to teacher candidate . The purpose is that helping teacher candidate to improve their education ability. To achieve this purpose, this study review the literature of teacher screening and selection.Using the KANO model to find the key project in trial teaching and interview of teacher selection. According to the key project,the researcher conduct questionnaire interviews to expert who once be jury of teacher selection, then aggregating the expert opinion to design formal questionnaire.
After questionnaire surveying,Deviding the core elements of the teacher screening and selection into six facets.The six facets inculding live performance, professional performance, efforts and prospects, teaching content, teacher-student interaction, teaching ability.
This study distribute 425 questionnaires, and 392 questionnaires were recovered, the effective recovery rate to 92.2%. Then using questionnaire survey to collect data. The data would be analyzed by using t-test, ANOVA, KANO quality classification, KANO satisfaction index coefficient to analysis data. The results were as follows:
1. Speaking expression ability and Interpersonal ability are very important for candidates.
2. Science teachers and non-Academic Teachers pay attention to the excellent performance in the past of candidates。
3. Class teachers and full-time teachers have higher requirements in professional performance and teaching ability of candidates.
4. Background and past efforts of candidates, unable to make candidates stand out in the selection of teachers.
5. Candidates are able to use supplementary materials and make good use of body movements, can get bonus effect.
Finally, the conclusion and suggestion which are on the basis of the research results can offer teachers and associations as references.
