Summary:碩士 === 中華大學 === 科技管理學系 === 104 === The main purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among parenting style, learning motivation and academic performance at junior high school students via questionnaire-surveying method. The participants were third grader in junior high school in Taoyuan City. The study consisted of 582 subjects who were selected by the Parenting Style Scale and the Learning motivation Scale, designed by Cheng Chia, Chi. The Major results were as follows: 1.Most of the male and female students' parents were with indulgent parenting style. 2.Task orientation and learning motivation were positively correlated. 3.Paternal parenting style were significantly different in student gender. 4.Task orientation and avoidance orientation were significantly different in student gender. 5.Academic performance were significantly different in student gender. 6.Learning motivation were significantly different in paternal and maternal parenting styles. 7.Academic performance were significantly different in paternal and maternal parenting styles. 8.Task orientation, self-enhancing orientation and academic performance were positively correlated. And avoidance orientation had a negative correlation with academic performance. 9.Task orientation, self-enhancing orientation and maternal parenting style had the power of prediction toward academic performance.
