With the progress of economical technology, the transportation environment is more complicated. The concept of green transportation is more popular. So on-foot commuting to school is more to be put in effect in our country. However, transportation education programs could not totally be put into practice because of the limitation of teaching condition. If teachers can design transportation programs with the combination of the films from students on their way to school by cellphones, and of the specialty of school’s surroundings, it will acknowledge students to grow up their ability of safe transportation. This study is to evaluate the effects of transportation program teaching on students’ cognition of on-foot commuting risk. The result of this study intends to supplement the reference of on-foot commuting teaching in elementary school for high graders. The subject is “Cross the street safely”. First, this study designed a transportation teaching program to high graders in elementary school. Then, design an experiment. Third, teach and assessment. The result shows: (1) First of all, this study had a research about the commuting environment around school. Secondary, set a subject as ”Cross the street safely”. Then design a teaching program of risk cognition of on-foot commuting to school. The result shows significance through nonparametric statistics Wilcoxon signed rank test. Which means the teaching is with effectiveness.(2) the number of correct answer of the test group—the result of two-sample Testing hypothesis, the average of correct answer in posttest are mostly over 0.5, and the average of correct answer in posttest is higher than which in pretest. Which means the teaching is with effectiveness.(3) From the analysis of the questionnaire “The investigation of self-filming the transportation materials ” from the test group, the study indicates students hold the positive attitude and accept teachers use their selfie materials in teaching.
