| Summary: | 碩士 === 中華大學 === 運輸科技與物流管理學系 === 104 === In recent years, environmental awareness of wetland has paid attention by many countries along with the rapid development of tourism industry in the world. Our country also starts to focus on ecotourism and tries to develop it, including ecological leisure and ecotourism development. Whether natural wetland or artificial wetland can provide several living things with habitation, motion, survival and reproduction, it is one of the best choices to take an ecological observation.
“Gaomei Wetland,” a wetland which resulted from Taichung Harbor construction completed and beach sedimentation, for the past few years, the government planned to practice wetland conservation area, new wooden walkway, passenger service center, green parking lot and landscape bridge with sea view and eighteen sets of wind turbines. It brings about wonderful scene and attracts a lot of tourists at home and abroad. Although many people expected that the number of tourists could increase, local residents had another viewpoint. Due to crowds cause continuous stream of vehicles, continuous stream of vehicles results in traffic jam. It has a great influence on their original lifestyle and quality. This research adopted the method of deep interview, site investigation, and questionnaire to discuss the traffic improvement in Goamei Wetland. The following are the research results.
First, tourists bring about crowds and continuous stream of vehicles, which causes traffic jam owing to insufficient parking space. I hope that the government will open up public No. 69 parking lot actively to evacuate continuous stream of vehicles. Second, several roads are so narrow that one car may pass over another car difficultly. So, we should restrict driving routes and drive shuttle buses to pick up people. It can improve local dwellers, traffic situations. Third, besides additional parking space requirements, the public parking space is not enough now (It only has 76 parking spaces in the public No. 68 parking lot). Hence, some residents in Gaomei Wetland change their own vacant land or farmland into private pay parking illegally. If the private pay parking should fail to become legal, the government should increase public parking spaces nearby. Finally, in terms of public transportation, there are few buses going during the rush hour, like lines 178, 179, and 111. Therefore, tourists are lack of aspiration to take the bus.
