The extra benefit of the proposed scheme is to save the device cost without bothering to find suitable locations as well as installation fee of lux sensor. The image of CCD can conveniently offer users to find many suitable spots within one frame to represent the desired color and illumination of users. We find that the threshold between the lighting device and the selected spots in the image of the CCD can impose serious effects to accurately control the lighting device for fulfilling the desired scene setting. The model between the power level of light and the average gray level of the select spots of CCD is established as a linear equation in the thesis. The constant of linear equation representing the background luminance will not affect the linear coefficient or slope of equation for the lux sensor, but auto-tuning of CCD based on background luminance seriously affects the slope of equation. Finding threshold hold can be improved by paying attention to choose the precision of average gray level of the selected spots. Threshold will be integrated into the proposed intelligent lighting control. Fast control and fast-uniform power control have been proposed and their control ability has been verified by different scenes setting even under the effect of auto-tuning of CCD.
