It also has features similar to traditional paper, such as comfortable reading and energy saving. In this thesis, the current types of electronic paper on the market and its working principle are introduced roughly. The driver is an important controller of the e-paper reader, the thesis focus on the circuit design. The circuit uses an IT8X51 single-chip microcomputer through communication interface to control the PMIC (Power Management Multi-Channel) to generate a set of voltage driving the e-paper plate. A rectangle of pattern will have displayed on the e-paper according to incoming data from the MCU.
