Temporary campus planning in light of prefabricated school building after Chi-Chi earthquake and Typhoon-Morakot-caused flood

碩士 === 中華大學 === 營建管理學系 === 104 === ABSTRACT Domestic natural disasters occur frequently, there is possibility of disaster damage around Taiwan. In addition to disaster prevention measures, disaster planning and emergency response measures are also important. In particular, the restoration of school environment or the plan of temporary campus arrangements should be considered under the premise of comprehensive before the disaster to avoid affecting the rights of children to education. In this study, we investigate the current ability of ministry of education about disaster preparedness and adequately prepared in related matters. With assistance of government, we are looking forward to meet the needs of schools and parents. We discuss the room for improvement about temporary campus buildings and prefab construction techniques, Recommendations and improvement of the road traffic of temporary campus buildings, cultural construction, ecological restoration, etc. There are cases that schools not under media spotlight are not capable of reconstructing the damaged school buildings. Prefabs schools after post disaster reconstruction resettlement are important in Taiwan. The design focuses are not only to provide a good and comfortable class room space through a systematic and open architecture design and the architectural forms can be varied with the local environment, but also to adjusted according to the school authorities' plans to take advantage of the characteristics housing. In this study, we design the strategy in direction of the concept of sustainable development, towards saving resources and increasing the use of temporary prefab buildings for sustainable business. Due to the schools are public buildings, we introduce the provisional campus plan that complies all of the restrictions and relevant regulations under various conditions and look forward to meeting pupils rehousing basis after domestic disaster.
