Schwann cells (Schwann cells; RSC96) in the peripheral nervous system axons surrounded by myelin formation, and action potential conduction-related, and participate in neurite outgrowth, nerve degeneration and other important physiological functions, protect neurons body and axon Free in all kinds of damage. And if Schwann cells are pathological damage to nerve myelin is formed, to maintain the normal physiological function of the nerve is also affected and slowed axonal conduction. Many clinical disease caused by peripheral neuropathy and pathological changes are related to Schwann cells, such as traumatic spinal cord injury, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, chemotherapeutic drug-induced neuropathy, and chronic heavy metal poisoning caused by peripheral neuropathy, it Schwann pathological phenomena and apoptosis''s cells plays an important role in the peripheral neuropathy. The purpose of the experiment focuses on methamphetamine Schwann cell growth suppression mechanism to confirm methamphetamine and accelerated aging of the relationship between brain cells. We deal RSC96 cells with different concentrations of methamphetamine (0, 0.7, 1.4, 2.1 and 2.8 mM), after 48 hours we found decreased cell viability, were 100%, 83%, 81%, 65% and 61%.The use of flow cytometry cell growth assay was found parked in the G0G1 phase, so the influence of methamphetamine caused RSC96 cells may be related to cell senescence (cell senescence) concerned.
