Because of muscles being in a prolonged state of tension, the muscles become overused. This causes poor blood circulation and the accumulation of toxins, which stimulates nerves that relay messages of pain and muscle tension. Chronic pain presents itself in this way. Therefore, this study focuses on weightless meridian massage skills for improving chronic pain. This research is categorized into three goals: to show that the meridians improve the situation of the health index, the degree to which chronic pain is relieved, and to reduce the negative impacts of chronic pain. This study starts with experiments and one round of semi-structured qualitative interviews. Ten females who have chronic pain are arranged to receive a 50-minute Meridian weightless massage every week, for a total of three massages. Ryodoraku measurement data is collected before and after the massage each time. Taking data prior to the massage and afterwards provides a better understanding of the interviewees' health prior to and after the massage, and thus furthers our influence for improving the situation. In this research, it found that the weightless meridian massage can improve health indicators and make it closer to normal. The massaging therapy reduces the problems of both patients with low and high indicators, and creates more balanced meridians. According to Meridian interpretation, it know that this phenomenon can improve chronic pain, and make the body healthier. From the results of the questionnaires, it found that all of the interviewees reported feeling better from their chronic pain, but the level of improvement depended on their body's state. It also found that this therapy may improve the influence of pain, especially emotional pain. All in all, this study evidently shows that weightless meridian massage really does improve chronic pain, but the levels of improvement depend on the particular case of each patient's posture, stress and daily life routines. Finally, hope the results of this study may be used as references of related researches in the future. Hui-lun Hung Wen-Ying Lai 洪繪侖 賴文櫻 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 100 zh-TW
