Description
Summary:碩士 === 正修科技大學 === 資訊管理研究所 === 104 === The purpose of this research is to understand how the Internet influence expansion and operation of student movements and mob activities in different generations through analyzing Wild Lily Student Movement in 1990 and Sunflower Student Movement in 2014. After knowing the impact of the Internet on student movements and other mass movements, we expect to further explore the influence of the Internet on social security and propose corresponding methods to protect social security. The research method used in this research is literature review, comparative-historical analysis, and SWOT analysis. The result of my research are as following: 1). The Internet allows participants of social movements to have more dominance of information flow in modern world. 2). Real-time video transmission allows people with interests to understand the situation of a social movement faster and this helps propagate the idea of the movement. However, due to message overload, those with interests may not understand the core ideology of the movement and weekend their sense of identify. 3). Even though the Internet can facilitate the expansion of social network and the speed of acquiring resources needed, the fact that social movement requires sustainable momentum and enthusiasm is still unaffected.
