The study adopted questionnaire survey and 717 elementary school students in Taichung City participated in the survey. The instrument applied to this study including Personal Background Inventory, Well-being Scale and Life Adjustment Scale. The sample data was analyzed by the use of descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The major results of the study were as followings. 1.The well-being and life adjustment of the fifth and sixth graders at elementary school in Taichung City has reached the level of upper- intermediate. 2.The well-being and life adjustment of fifth and sixth graders varied partially in terms of gender. 3.There was no significant difference of well-being and life adjustment among elementary school students in terms of grade. 4.There was a significant difference of the well-being and life adjustment among school students due to family structure and different social and economic status. 5.There was a positive correlation between the well-being and life adjustment of the fifth and sixth graders at elementary school. 6.The well-being was predictable to the life adjustment of the fifth and sixth graders at elementary school. The author proposes some suggestions for the reference of educational administration authority, school counselors and teachers based on the research results.
