Description
Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 宗教研究所 === 104 === Graham Ward(1955-), being an eminent cultural theologian of contemporary, the characteristic of his theology is open to make dialogues and negotiations with many continent philosophers, sociologist, cultural theorists, and try to found the resources that Christianity can use from these theorists with critical engagement. This thesis focus on the cultural theology agenda of his “cities trilogy” includes Cities of God, Cultural Transformation and Religious Practice and The Politics of Discipleship. Ward thinks that the project of contemporary thought is seeing Christianity’s hope as a paradigm. He tries to make Christianity as a standpoint to change the cultural imaginary of contemporary. Though modern western society was looked as if being secular, it’s for a long time that the development of its society and culture was breed and influenced by Christianity. If Christianity desires to have his place in modern society, certainly need to rediscover the theological resources of Christianity itself.
